Who Six BC entrepreneurs - Andy Chou (drinkfill), Dallas Price (virtus groups), Jenn LeBrun (ulat), Kevin Chang (Kai Analytics, Yave), Nolte Burke (XOMBO), and Steph Limage (LIMAGE Media Group) --have been chosen as part of a country-wide contingent to represent Canada at the G20 Young Entrepreneurs Alliance (YEA) Summit in Fukuoka, Japan in May 2019. These local entrepreneurs believe in Canada as a force of good, and wanted to represent it on the world stage. Their experience represent multiple industries such as clean-tech, data science, film & music production as well as finance and fitness. The BC delegates come from various regions in the Lower Mainland as well as our partner delegate who resides on Vancouver Island.

What The G20 YEA is a collective of leading entrepreneurship organizations across the G20 countries who seek to promote youth entrepreneurship as a powerful driver of economic renewal, job creation, innovation and social change. As official Canadian delegates, these seven BC entrepreneurs are excited to take part in an event that will attract over 600 young entrepreneurs and influencers from across the G20 countries to issue a Communique to G20 leaders.

When The delegates are available before May 2019 to discuss what it means to be chosen to represent Canada. They will also be available after the Summit, in late May, to discuss the 2019 official G20 YEA communiqué to the world leaders as well as about their experience at the Summit.

Group’s Message to Young Entrepreneurs across Canada

As the Asia-Pacific gateway for Canada, we feel that British Columbia is in a unique position to promote and inspire young entrepreneurs to engage internationally. According to the Asia Pacific Foundation of Canada, exports to Asia represent 40% of BC’s exports --second to the US. We are therefore especially excited at the opportunity to be representing BC and Canada in building lasting partnerships with Japanese businesses and other young entrepreneurs from around the world.
